Three sides of the Little Problem

Three sides of the Little Problem

The first prototype was too serious. The second laughed too much. The third was a problem of exactly the right size.

When we started the Little Problem, all we had was one sentence: it’s okay to have a few. Everything else came with clay, glaze and a few wrong decisions.

The first prototype was too serious. When it sat on a desk, people started telling it their troubles. That’s a heavy load for a piece of ceramic.

With the eyes a little closer together, the problem looks smaller.

On the second try we made the eyes bigger. This time it was too cheerful. For the third version we poured the glaze by hand; every piece comes out a little different. We decided that’s not a flaw, it’s character.
